Bach Ma launches cultural tourism festival
Religion meets nature in a cultural and tourism festival to promote the Bach Ma National Park in the central province of Thua Thien-Hue that started on Wednesday. Entitled An Tuong Bach Ma (Impressions of Bach Ma), the two-day festival features various cultural and religious activities, including Buddhist incense offerings at the Bach Van Pagoda, religious dancing, a sacred fire procession and bell tolling for peace. |

Many hues of a festival
The biennial Festival Hue to be held next month will focus on reviving royal and folk festivals that evoke the glorious past of the former imperial capital. Themed “Cultural Heritage in the course of Integration and Development” this year, and scheduled for June 3-11, it will open with a fireworks display by French pyrotechnic artist Pierre Alain Hubert. Performances by foreign art troupes and folk games too will be part of the opening ceremony.

Hue to affirm title as Festival City
VietNamNet Bridge - The upcoming biannual Hue festival in central Thua Thien-Hue province will offer new and exciting performances of high professional and artistic quality, in an effort to live up to title of being Vietnam’s ‘Festival City’. The Hue Festival 2008, themed “Cultural heritage with integration and development”, will take place from June 3-11. The festival coincides with the 15 th anniversary of Hue imperial city’s world heritage site recognition and the fifth anniversary of the recognition of Hue royal court music as a Masterpiece of Oral and Intangible Heritage. |
